Rosacea Treatment

Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic skin disease which affects about 14 million Americans. Symptoms typically include redness and breakouts on the face and also occasionally the chest and neck. It can also affect the eyes, causing redness and irritation. Rosacea can be treated in many ways, including topical and oral medications and Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)- a state-of-the-art light therapy which is performed with a topical photosensitizing agent activated with the correct wavelength of light. Early detection and intervention are essential to achieve the most effective results, and to reduce the severity of symptoms if rosacea has already progressed.

At Chatham Skin and Cancer Center, we offer a variety of  private label skin care products which include green tea and other antioxidants to reduce inflammation and calm the redness associated with rosacea.  The telangiectasias or facial veins can only be removed with laser treatments.  Versapulse is a non-invasive laser treatment that uses light therapy to effectively remove tiny facial blood vessels as well as dark age spots.
